Gering High Harmony Preforms

The Gering High School Harmony Vocal Group was our program for today. They are a 30 member swing choir which preforms choreography as well as sings. The director of the group is vocal teacher Shelly Revelle.  They had a time issue and began their performance at noon, so President Dawne Wolfe just reversed the order of the meeting. After five standards which they performed for competition, they ended their program with “Holy Night”, putting everyone in the Christmas spirit. The business portion of the meeting began once they finished. Our Gering High student guest was Davis Eskam, who plans on attending the University of Wyoming and majoring in criminal justice. Our Scottsbluff student was Megan Hayhurst, who is planning on applying to the University of Nebraska in Kearney and majoring in English. The dictionary project is at its half way point with about half of the area third graders receiving their dictionaries. Next week is the annual Christmas party, if you have not signed up, contact Nathan Johnson. At noon there will be a Fireside meeting for new members.
