The Nebraska State Chamber of Commerce

We met at an earlier time for today’s meeting as we had a packed presentation. The Nebraska State Chamber of Commerce gave its annual presentation.  President Bryan Slone began the presentation with a brief update of what his organization did this past year. He then went on to introduce a project the State Chamber has been involved in organizing; Blueprint Nebraska. Nebraska has many advantages when it comes to economies but there are some road blocks also. The state is at a crossroads and needs a plan, or blueprint, on how to continue to be successful in the business environment. Mr. Slone then turned the microphone over to Senator Jay Smith, who is heading up the blueprint program. He explained how they are going about collecting information and getting the right people involved. Finally University of Nebraska president Hank Bounds spoke about the University’s support of the program and answered questions anyone had.
