SATURDAY OCTOBER 24TH IS SERVE DAY.   7:00 am at Christ Church..corner of Cedar and Post Roads.  Takes about an hour, counts as a make up, and makes you feel good.  SERVE is a food buying co-op, open to all, that helps stretch grocery dollars.

THE PHONE BOOKS ARE HERE...THE PHONE BOOKS ARE HERE.  An advance printing has been delivered to the Chamber of Commerce office at 580 Main Street.  The rest are going into the mail and should be in the hands of people needing phone numbers in a few days.  Phone usage normally peaks when the phone book comes out as local residents call many of the numbers to congrautlate their friends on being listed in the book.  It's quite a celebration.

NO MEETING NOVEMBER 11TH...VETERANS DAY....HOWEVER
we will be selling Citrus Stuff in front of Thorpe's.  Rotarians will be working with our Ineract Students.  There is a Veterans Day Parade down Main Street, starting at 10:00 am from Academy Field.
(It has been suggested we be in front of Thorpe's the day before Thanksgiving as well, as it is a very busy traffic day there.)

Jane Boynton is lining up volunteers for the Rotary Citrus Phone Banks November 16th and 17th.   Calls will be made between 6 and 8 pm from the Caldwell Banker office.

George Popella will be presenting Sally Russell with a Paul Harris fellowship.  Her name was pulled from the group in which she is participating.   George Coordinates the organization of clusters of four or five Rotarians into Paul Harris Foundation Groups.  Each member contributes $250 or $200 a year, depending on size of the group, generating $1,000 for donation to the Rotary Foundation.   One name is pulled from the group until all receive a Paul Harris Foundation award.

John Eastman is back.  John is now held together with high tech baleing wire and is officially known as the Five Million Dollar man.  All members are asked not to bring magnets to the meeting as you could find John stuck to you if you get too close.

Another top notch program from Ed Neff, as we welcomed Curt Columbus, Artistic Director of Trinity Rep.  Trinity Rep. engages in an extensive outreach program, taking their story and message to groups of all types.
