Judy says - You finally added the figures and we made how much?

George Cooper gives ALS Race Chairperson Judy Pratt the final numbers, announcing the club will be handing over a check for $50,000 at the  Evening of Hope banquet.
Our first race, 10 years ago, generated $10,000, thanks to a small supplement by the club.   From $10,000 to $50,000, that's a 40,000 percent increase according to my figures.

Welcome to our meeting?   The NK President is welcomed by President MacKenzie as we meet in joint session to hear from our Group Study Exchange Participants.     Forty years ago our club helped found NK Rotary.

Thanks to the club members who made our Group Study Exchange welcome.   They arrived at the meeting, windblown from a cruise on Mike Balsamo's Yacht "Writeoff".
During their presentation each member of the team gave a brief bio, and then we were treated to a video of a very interesting and progressive looking country.

The abdominal snowman, Don Anderson, climbed Mount Everest this past weekend, part of a fund raiser.  Don said it was  a fundraiser, but the check I gave him came back endorsed to Twin River.   Don claims to have survived snowstorms, an avalanche and a volcano on the climb.  It was so bad that he refused to get out of the car.

Million dollar meal.   Next week, May 12th, we meet in the community room of the new East Greenwich Police Station.   Our program will be a tour of the building, including the opportunity to be deloused, fingerprinted and tasered.   Members who have already had this experience on a saturday night will be exclused.

Judy reports the wine tasting preparations seem to be going well.   She has been buying grapes for some weeks, and each evening the family takes off their shoes and stomps out a few more bottles.  "It's brought us together', she says, "and now that our feet are purple we no longer have to buy sox".   Judy needs a lot of people for a lof of really small jobs the night of the event, May 20.   Sign up to help out with set up, take down or whatever.  There's not a lot of work, but there are some things that have to be done by dependable people.

Have you signed up for the installation banquet.  You can do it through the website and it is easy.  It's fun and educational.
