On Saturday, April 24 th , the Rotary Club of East Greenwich, East Greenwich Chamber of Commerce,
Cartridge World RI, and Office Recycling Solutions, will be participating in the First Annual “East
Greenwich Electronics Recycling Day”. It will be held at New England Institute of Technology, 1 New
England Tech Boulevard (behind CVS on Route 2) from 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon. The campus parking lot
area will be marked and identified.

The goal of this event is to rid our homes and businesses of all “dead” electronic waste and items that
have gathered in our basements and storage rooms.  These items will be properly handled and disposed
of by our partner Office Recycling Solutions at their Coventry facility (ORS is R2 Certified - all data from
computers, laptops and devices is destroyed according to the R2 Standard). Many of your neighbors
will be bringing used office equipment and electrical items of all kinds (anything with an electrical cord)
including printers, computers, towers, monitors, televisions, radios, and even air conditioners!

We are asking for a donation of $1 per item with a maximum of $10/vehicle. The beneficiary of this
event is the East Greenwich Tree Council. They will designate appropriate East Greenwich locations
and we’ll come together again for the actual plantings. Not only do trees beautify our streets and
town; they give us oxygen to breathe, carbon to store, stabilize the soil and give food and shelter to the
town’s wildlife!

Today, we are asking you to participate in the electronic recycling event as a sponsor. A sponsorship
of $100 will place your company’s name and logo on all promotional flyers and signage as well as
promote and educate the general population about the safe handling, removal, and proper disposal of
all electronic waste and materials. These items should not go into your garbage can, our waterways,
or the local landfill.

If you have any questions about the recycling event, please contact me or Harry Waterman of the EG
Rotary at Cartridge World RI at 515- 2011, x 1004. This will be a great day of electronic equipment
recycling with many lessons learned. Please make the effort to join us in person at this important
Community event.
