Past District Governor Jennifer Scott, is a member of the Rotary Club of Central Blue Mountains.  She was District Governor of District 9690 in 2008-2008 and now serves as a the Zone 8 Technical Coordinator for the Environment Area of Focus.  She is passionate about peacebuilding and ecological sustainability  and has served as an adviser to the Australian Commonwealth Minister for the Environment on climate change and pollution issues.

She has been appointed by RI President Elect Gordon McInally as the chair for the 2024 International Convention in Singapore. Jennifer has held many international roles and is currently a vice chair of the End Polio Now: Countdown to History Campaign Committee, a member of the RI Constitution and By-law committee. 

Jennifer practised as a lawyer until her recent retirement.  She has led many international, projects and a vocational training team.  Her husband Ian is also a PDG.  She has been awarded the Rotary Foundation’s Citation for Meritorious Service.

As the Zone Technical Cadre Coordinator, Jennifer will speak us about applying for and achieving grants for environmental projects.

Cadre members can assist your project by:

· Providing project planning advice and implementation guidance

· Designing community assessments

· Incorporating elements of sustainability into projects

· Establishing monitoring and evaluation plans

· Answering questions about Rotary’s areas of focus

· Providing financial management best practices
