United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is a country of 82,800 sq km with a population of 5.4 million. The official language is Arabic but Persian, English and Urdu are widely spoken.

The capital city of Abu Dhabi is the home to the first Rotary club in the country, the Rotary Club of Dubai which was chartered on 3 March 2002. The Rotary Club of Dubai holds its meetings in English.

The Rotary Club of Jumeirah was chartered on 30 April 2007, also holds its meetings in English.
