Betsy Manzelli nominated to be District Governor for 2020-21

The Nominating Committee is pleased to announce  Betsy Manzelli as the selection for the District Governor for the 2020-2021 Rotary year. Her passion and commitment to service, especially with her long-term focus on youth development will provide the foundation for her to be a very successful Governor, and one that will engage our future leaders.

Betsy has been an integral and dedicated member of the Hamilton-Wenham Rotary club, and has been instrumental in integrating young people with Rotary initiatives in the community. As a member, she has served as the club’s Youth Exchange Officer, Interact Advisor, Board Member, and President.

Betsy has always been highly involved in the local community and joined Rotary nearly ten years ago, after her eldest daughter participated in the Rotary Youth Exchange Program.

Betsy has been a board member of the Hamilton Wenham Rotary Club since 2011 and in 2013, she served as president for the club. For the past 7 years, she has been an active participant in the Polar Plunge, involving both Interact and Youth Exchange Students in the club’s fundraising efforts for Polio Plus and braving the frigid waters of the Atlantic with her students at the plunge each year.

Restaurants and Sponsors Sought for Taste of the North Shore
The Peabody Rotary Club will host its signature event, the 13th Annual Taste of the North Shore, on Tuesday, March 20th from 6-9 PM. This popular event is now being held at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel in Danvers. The event has been so popular among North Shore residents and businesses that it was moved to this new venue last year to accommodate our growing attendance.

Twenty-five of the area’s most popular restaurants will serve their tastiest dishes, from main courses to sides to desserts. In addition to the delicious food and great entertainment, a highlight of the evening will be the drawing of a $10,000 grand prize! Raffle tickets are $100 each and include two admissions to the Taste. Odds are in your favor as only 300 raffle tickets will be sold. The winner does not need to be present. Non-raffle admission is $40 per person.
