Marblehead Harbor Food Drive
The Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor recently completed a two-week food drive to benefit the Marblehead Food Pantry. With the help of local businesses including Crosby's Market, Shubie's, Marblehead Community Center, National Grand Bank and Marblehead Bank the club collected over 110 bags of food and over $400 in cash donations.  The Marblehead Food Pantry is grateful for the club's efforts and results particularly because the need is greater during the summer months when students are not in session. The collection organized by the club received special assistance from the ElderAct of Marblehead and Swampscott.  From left to right: Jessica Barnett, Rotarian and Food Drive Coordinator; Diane Barbour, Rotarian; Cynthia Kilbarger, Rotarian and Janet Fitch Parker, Director of the Marblehead Food Pantry.
Our Future Presidents Need Your Help!
One of the most significant training programs in the Rotary world is Presidents-elect Training Seminar held annually over the second weekend in March. The Northeast PETS team is constantly improving the program to provide the best training possible to our Presidents and Assistant Governors.

The team consists of Immediate Past District Governors, Governors-elect, Governors-nominee and a host of support people who all contribute in meaningful ways.

We would like to invite you to consider serving in one of the open positions or to nominate a leader in the district who would be qualified to support our team. The attached page details the job openings and requirements and should help qualify interested applicants. If you have additional questions or would like to know more about NEPETS, please visit our website at www.rotarynepets.org or call or email the Event Chair, Louisa Tripp at 802- 371-9819 or louisatripp@yahoo.com. The deadline for nominations is September 15th and interviews will occur in October.

Marblehead Club Installs New President
David Deutsch was formally installed as the new President of the Marblehead Rotary Club. Deutsch accepted the presidency and was handed the gavel from Dr. Keith Taylor, Marblehead Rotary Club’s acting Sergeant-at-Arms. Deutsch follows the successful term of outgoing President Ron Amon.
In his acceptance speech, Deutsch stressed that “making a difference in people’s lives” was a major motivating factor for joining Rotary and for accepting a leadership role. He warmly reflected on his daughter, Sophie, who recently won two medals at the Maccabee games in Israel. Her trip to compete was supported by the club.
