Clubs Invited to Join Large Food Packaging Project

The Wakefield Rotary Club will again be hosting a large food packaging project on January 23rd with a snow date of January 30th at Sheraton 4 Points.

The Club is seeking five or more clubs to join them to work together! Like last year's event, the day starts with a group lunch at $15 per person, followed by the mass packing event. Club buy-in minimum is $250 for 1,000 meals. These meals are brought back to your home food pantries THAT DAY and/or donated internationally (you can also send a portion internationally and keep some local).

Malden Inducts New Members

District Governor Dave Gardner inducted two new members into the Malden Rotary Club during his District Governor official visit on October 11th. Shown in the photo are Malden Club President Ronnie Puzon, Dave Gardner, and new Rotarians Dave Camell and Guillermo Hamlin. The inductions of Dave and Guillermo bring to five the number of new members that Malden Rotary has brought into the club since July 1st, including one new service member who is attending Malden’s new evening meetings on the first Wednesday of every month.

This workshop will help you to control nervousness and be more effective in all your presentations. This workshop will help you to assess your current level of skills and strategies and give you some best practices to raise your presentation fitness to new heights.

Not only is this a great skill to improve, we will all learn from a fellow Rotarian! Arlington Rotarian Kevin Greeley is the Founder and President of Greeley Communications Inc. He was a 10-year professor, debate and golf coach at Emerson College in Boston. He has trained business professionals across the US and he will be sharing his expertise at Rotary Means Business on November 1!

From Medford MA to Canberra Australia

Bill Connors, member of the Rotary Club of Medford recently enjoyed a trip with his wife to Australia. He snapped this picture of a display of gnomes by the Rotary Club of Canberra East. There were hundreds of them! This was a community event and the Rotary Club of Canberra was a very visible part of it. Thanks Bill for sharing this with your fellow Rotarians.

Has your club recently hosted an event or project or are you planning something in the near future that you would like to share with your fellow District 7930 Rotarians?

The weekly eBulletin depends on the content provided by clubs, so please submit your stories and we will publish them on the district website and in the next eBulletin. Stories that showcase your club or event should be submitted via the website portal at this link.

The deadline for submitting items for the weekly District 7930 eBulletin is Friday morning in order to be included in the following Monday's edition. If the eBulletin being prepared is getting to be too long and the story submitted is not time-sensitive, we may choose to delay including it until the following week.
