Our partners in caring for the homeless and hungry will share their mission, their core programs and support they need in services that Rotarians can provide to help them fulfill their care for those who need us. Consider your professional skills or even your avocations and maybe you can provide meaningful assistance to help Rotary: Making a Difference!

The first date will be Wednesday, April 26th and will be a true business networking event! That means no speaker or presentation, just time to network with our Rotary friends and other local business people. It will be held at McLane Middleton in Woburn, starting at 6:00 pm and will end at 8:00 pm. Your $10.00 fee will provide light refreshments and two hours of building relationships to help drive more sales. We are pleased to announce that Chrystal Kornegay, Undersecretary, Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development, will be our guest speaker at the District Conference Luncheon on May 19th at the Hawthorne Inn, Salem, MA. Given the Districts Homeless & Hunger Initiative, this is an event not to BE missed!!!
Chrystal Kornegay’s passion for creating projects and programs that result in stronger communities for modest income working families is evidenced throughout her 20+ years’ experience in community development. In January 2015, Ms. Kornegay became the Baker Polito Administration’s Undersecretary for Housing and Community Development. Prior to that, Chrystal was Urban Edge’s President and Chief Executive Officer. In that role she combined a laser focus on excellence with keen business management skills to result in a 20% growth in revenue, a 10% growth in the affordable housing portfolio and a 10% growth in the number of households served.
Time is fast approaching for the event of the year, not to be missed!
We are excited to announce an addition to our service projects on Saturday, May 20, at the Hawthorne hotel. Each bag to contain socks, toothbrush and toothpaste, combs, toilet paper, steno pads and pens, and arts and craft activity books for the children's bags . 125 bags will be for adults and 125 bags for children.
