The Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor recently presented checks in the amount of $1,000 to Jen Wassan, Development Director of Windrush Farm and Donna Crotty, Executive Director of Girls Inc. in Lynn, MA.  Both organizations are non-profit and provide valuable services to residents living in the North Shore.

Ms. Wassan, recently made a presentation to club members and described the unique programs offered through the farm which are designed to expand and enrich the lives of children and adults with physical or emotional disabilities through equine assisted activities and therapies.  Windrush Farm, located in North Andover, MA was one of the first therapeutic riding centers in the US.  To learn more about their programs, to volunteer or to donate, please visit www.windrushfarm.org.
Ms. Crotty talked about the mission of Girls Inc. which is to inspire girls to be strong, smart and bold through life-changing programs and experiences. Their programs are delivered by trained, mentoring professionals. The goal is to ensure girls achieve success academically, lead healthy lives, successfully manage money, navigate media messages, and discover an interest in science, technology, engineering and math.  Last year the organization raised $800,000 for scholarships.  To learn more about Girls Inc. or to make a donation to their programs, please visit www.girlsinclynn.org.
