Dr. Susan M King  joined  the Rockport Rotary Club in 2008. Prior to arriving in Massachusetts, she lived and worked in New Jersey, starting as an Elementary School teacher, and proceeded up the ranks  to Superintended of Schools, and she was also an active Rotarian, joining in New Jersey in 1995. In 2008 she became Superintendent of the Rockport Schools, joined the Rockport Rotary, fell in love (with a Rotarian, naturally!), and has been hooked on Service Above Self ever since. Finally, retiring after 43 years in the education field, she was able to start enjoying some free time and travel, and she jumped at an invitation to join a National Immunization Day trip to India in February 2015. Sue lives in Rockport with her husband, Phil Chalmers, and is an active volunteer in the community.
