What could be better than a warm summer day, a beautiful green field, and the crack of a bat? How about the crack of a plastic bat, mixed with laughter and cheers, with friends and family on the field?

For the third year in a row, Danvers Rotary Club is bringing a Wiffle® ball tournament to Danvers. A miniature form of America’s pastime, Wiffle ball is designed for small spaces, making it far easier to play than baseball. The tournament is professionally run. There is no running of base paths. There are multiple fields. This is a great team building exercise for your business. It’s a perfect summer game for all ages and a great opportunity for your club to enjoy Rotary friendship and fellowship.

Our tournament, dubbed the “Salem Village Wiffle® Tournament” in recognition of our Town’s history, is scheduled for Saturday, August 6, 2016, at Danvers High School, 60 Cabot Road, Danvers. In each of the past two years, the tournament has attracted more than 300 players and spectators, and we are hoping for a bigger crowd this year. Please help us make this event a big success.
We invite our fellow Rotarians to join in the fun by entering a team. If you can’t find players we will fill a team for you from local kids, some of whom live in the area hotels, etc. The cost is $250 per team and all proceeds will go toward Rotary projects that benefit our community and beyond. We also welcome corporate sponsorships with pricing at various levels. These are described on our sponsorship flyers and on the tournament website at www.salemvillagewiffleball.com.
