The Chelsea Rotary Club honored Jaclyn Abes as the 2017 Chelsea Rotary Club Teacher of the Year at its weekly Rotary luncheon at the Marriott Residence Inn.  Jaclyn is a fourth grade teacher at the Hooks Elementary School.  The Club also recognized five students from the Chelsea High School and one Chelsea student from Pope John High School as Chelsea Rotary Club’s 2017 scholarship winners.   Superintendent Mary Bourque of the Chelsea Public Schools introduced the award recipients.  She also gave a brief explanation of why Jaclyn Abes was chosen as this year’s Teacher of the Year.  The students all discussed the college plans.
