Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator

RRFC Dr Patrick Coleman has been a member of the Rotary Club of Luanshya since 1993. He is married to Sherry Coleman - also a Rotarian since 1995.

Patrick has a PhD in Theology and is a lecturer of Biblical Studies. He founded the Christian Resource Centre in Luanshya in 1997 and the Lighthouse Children's Home in 1999. He is a member of the board of directors of Mission Medic Air, Mobile Mission Maintenance Vocational Training Centre and serves as Chairman of the Luanshya Education Board.

His first contribution to The Rotary Foundation was in 1994 to the PolioPlus Campaign and he has regularly contributed to the PP campaign over the years including being actively involved in the Zambia NIDs in 1996-8.

Patrick served as District 9210 Governor in 2006-7. He has served as the Zone 20A South Water and Sanitation Coordinator from 2008-2011 and served as Reach Out To Africa Water and Sanitation Coordinator. He has also served as Rotary International representative to the Polio Technical Advisory Group (TAG) Meeting for Angola, Congo and Democratic Republic of Congo, Namibia and Zambia in Lusaka in 2011.

Patrick is a Paul Harris Fellow, a member f the Bequest Society of The Rotary Foundation and a Benefactor of The Rotary Foundation. He has received the Service Above Self Award, the Regional Service Award for a Polio-Free World and The Rotary Foundation's Citation of Meritorious Service.

Assistant Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator
 
ARRFC PDG Vyv Deacon joined the Rotary Club of Kirstenbosch, D9350 in 1992, He served as director of Community Service 1993/4 and 1994/5, Club Service 1995/96, Vocational Service 2003/04 and President 1996/97. He served as District Trainer 2003/04 to 2005/06 and has a vast knowledge of all things Rotary.
 
In 2013/14 Vyv served as DG for D9350. He has attended a number of International Rotary meetings including RI Presidential Conference in 2001, Ray Klinginsmith's Rotary Foundation Alumni Reunion in 2011, ROTA (Livingstone 2013 and Dar Es Salaam 2014), the International Convention in Lisbon in 2013 and the Governors' Council Of Southern Africa meetings (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016)
 
Vyv was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Club of Kirstenbosch in 2005 and received the Rotary Foundation Citation for Meritorious Service 2006.
 
 
Assistant Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator
 
ARRFC Sherry I. Coleman joined the Rotary Club of Luanshya in 1995 and was immediately pressed into service as Zambia PolioPlus Treasurer in 1996 – a position she still holds. Over the next few years she was an integral part of several club committees and became Club President for two consecutive in 1998-2000.
 
She became the District Matching Grants Consultant (before DGSC was created by TRF) and served a further seven years as District Grants Sub-committee Chair until being named as District Rotary Foundation Chair. She was appointed as Assistant Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator in 2015.
 
Sherry is a Major Donor to The Rotary Foundation, a TRF Benefactor and a Bequest Society Member. She has been honoured as the RI Regional Service Award for the Eradication of Polio in 1996/97, The Four Avenues of Service Award, Rotary Foundation Service Award, the Rotary Foundation Business Service Award and The Rotary Foundation Citation for Meritorious Service. She is also a recipient of the Rotary International Service Above Self Award.
 
Additionally, Sherry was recognised in the International Who's Who of Professional and Business Women – 2002 and as Woman of the Year – Zambia/American Biographical Institute – 2008.
 
 
End Polio Now Coordinator
 
EPNC PDG Richard Brooks joined the Rotary family in 1987 and over the years has been a Club President for the Rotary Clubs of Durban Strelitzia, Durban Musgrave, Durban Thekweni and Zimbali all in D9270. He chaired the District 9270 Membership Committee for three years, then as an Assistant Governor for three years.
 
During his year as DG year he attended all the District Foundation Committee meetings and on his club visits actively promoted EREY and giving to Polio Plus. He was the last Governor of D9270 before it merged with D9320 to become D9370.
 
Richard is a Paul Harris Fellow.
 
Richard been appointed End Polio Now Zone Coordinator Team Leader over 20S, which includes the other Zones in Africa including 20A South, 20A French, 20A English and 20B.
 
Endowment/Major Gift Advisor
 
EMGA PDG Trevor Long was District Governor of D9320 in 1998/1999. He held numerous District Positions and has received several Rotary International and Rotary Foundation awards. He served on the RI Leadership and Training Committee and was the vice-chairman of the RI Election Review Committee in 2005.
 
Trevor served as the Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator for Zone 20A South from 2004 to 2007 and as the District Rotary Alumni Coordinator from 2008 to 2013.
 
Trevor is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow.
