Let’s get real about membership engagement and retention!  We have all mastered the art of getting Rotarians to join but have not quite mastered the art of how to keep them.  This highly interactive workshop will discuss strategies and tips for membership engagement by utilizing principals and practice of Motivational Interviewing.

Learning Objectives:

• Learn why engagement and retention are key element to your club’s success
• Explain the principals and foundation of Motivational Interviewing and how it can connect to the Rotarian experience
• Practice Using MI Techniques to engage members to stay in Rotary

Jenny Bates, Rotarian from San Rafael Evening Rotary is a member of Motivational Interviewing Network Trainer and has devoted her career to teaching the principals of Motivational Interviewing.  She has created a training that is “outside the box” and applies these techniques to world of Rotary engagement and retention.
