Rotary Night at the Ball Park -

The Rotary clubs of East Moline, Milan, Moline, Quad Cities, Rock Island, Twin Rivers RAH, River Cities, and clubs from the Iowa Quad Cities are joining together for a fundraiser and night out at  the Modern Woodmen ballpark for a River Bandit’s baseball game. Clubs are selling tickets for $10 each, $4 of each ticket sold at each club stay with the club to use at their discretion. The arrangements have been made by ADG David Bills of the River Cities club with communications support by Jodie Corey Behrens of Moline. Contact is Jodi Corey Behrens: 309.787.9532, email jcbehrens@choosethechief.com, and tickets can be purchased from any of the clubs mentioned or from myself. Cut off for purchasing tickets is July 16.   Bring your family and friends, have a GREAT time AND raise money for your club projects - it's a WIN WIN.....and we hope the River Bandits win that evening too!

Foundation Results from Ruth

A PAT ON THE BACK FROM YOUR “ALMOST” PAST DISTRICT FOUNDATION CHAIR!

I am writing this on June 30 since I’m heading out of town for a bit.  Therefore, the contribution results I will share should be very close to final results.  I want you to recognize what a terrific job you have done in supporting The Rotary Foundation in 2018-19.

Through this morning, annual fund contributions totaled $156,829, 115.0% of the cumulative club goals.  This is the second highest giving level in the past five years.  Per capita giving was $91.93, again the second highest in the past five years.  Not that far to go to get to the magic $100.00 per capita mark!  Job well done by Annual Fund chair Linda Giesen and everyone who worked diligently to keep the importance of the Annual Fund in front of our members.  The highest giving year was 2016-17, the Foundation’s centennial year.  We pulled out all the stops and invested $177,651, for a per capita amount of $101.28.

PolioPlus giving is the highest in the past five years.  Giving to date totals $62,917.00 well over $14,000 higher than last year.  This is 159.2% of the cumulative club goals.  Job well done by PolioPlus chair Paul Stromborg and all who assisted in this terrific effort.
