A district member has brought to our attention the availability of 40 $25,000 grants in three focus areas: Education, Safety and Community Development.

The grant program, sponsored by State Farm, is intended to inspire and empower people to get involved in their communities to create a positive, sustainable and measurable social impact, addressing an unmet need in the community and having a lasting impact. Apply at www.neighborhoodassist.com   from June 7-21 or when 2,000 submissions are reached, whichever comes first.

A committee will narrow down all the submissions to the top 200 finalists. Those finalists will be posted and voted on by you and your community for 10 days from Aug. 16-25, and each person gets 10 votes per day every day during that period. The top 40 causes with the most votes will each receive a $25,000 grant to be announced on Good Neighbor Day, Sept. 28 (a REAL HOLIDAY, by the way!).

Are there other similar grant opportunities out there? If so, please share with us so that we can promote them all!
