Join the Northern Illinois Rotary Clubs (District 6420, 6440 and 6450) as they convene, connect and encourage our next generation of leaders at empowerLEADERS, a morning of leadership, mentorship and scholarship.  Strong leadership is critical when it comes to addressing problems, creating lasting change and workable solutions across the globe, in our communities and in ourselves.  To meet these challenges we need identify and develop future leaders to serve everywhere every day. 
 
This opportunity is open to Rotarian and non-Rotarian and focuses not only on mentors, like teachers, coaches, principals, business executives, government officials, business and non-profit community leaders, but also on proteges, like high school seniors, college students and young professionals.  empowerLeaders seeks to cultivate leadership ability and talent of individuals who are best suited to effect and lead meaningful future change at all levels within their communities, businesses and organizations.
 
This event will be held at Oakton Community College in Des Plaines on Saturday, April 14th, 2018 from 8AM until Noon.

Keynote Speakers are exceptional leaders from the world of Service, Enterprise and Government:
Ms. Juliet Riseley, the First Lady of Rotary International; Ms. Doritt Bern, former President and CEO of Charming Shoppes; and Lt. Colonel Kristen Bakotic, US Air Force, Department of Defense, Pentagon.
 
The morning concludes with the presentation of three Leadership Awards to attending Proteges who have been nominated in advance by their Mentors.
