The Assembly, held over a six day period, is the training meeting that prepares district governors-elect for their roles as governor, introduces Rotary International's priorities for the coming year; and provide opportunities to network with governors-elect from around the world. The International Assembly also features engaging and informational programs for the governor-elect spouses.  In addition, Rotary International President-elect (RIPE) Barry Rassin, a member of the Rotary Club of East Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas, meets with the District Governors-elect and lays out his vision and challenges for the coming Rotary year.

One of the best things about Rotary is the chance to meet new people and make new friends. Every Rotary meeting provides time to share stories and connect over a shared interest of Doing Good in the World.  The picture on the above, with 6440 DGE Julie Clark, Mandi Wendt from Australia and DGE Kathy Kwiat-Hess, tells that very story.

DGE Kathy met Mandi at the 2017 International Convention in Atlanta.  She was able to reconnect in San Diego where Mandi was a plenary speaker.
