Rotary Foundation Global Grants

Global grants support large international projects with sustainable, high-impact outcomes in the six areas of focus that correspond to the Foundation's mission:

  1. Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
  2. Disease prevention and treatment
  3. Water and sanitation
  4. Maternal and child health
  5. Basic education and literacy
  6. Economic and community development

Global grants enable Rotarians to support service projects that provide water wells, medical care, literacy classes, and other essentials to people in need. Rotarian participation is key to the projects’ success.

The Goal of the Global Grants Program is to assist both the individual Rotary clubs throughout the district as well as the District in carrying out World Community Service humanitarian projects in cooperation with Rotarians in another country. To support the programs of our World Community Service Committee, District 6420 applies to Rotary International for matching grants. Global grants must be at least a $30,000 grant.  These grants are completed entirely online.

The Grants committee reviews all applications to provide us with the best opportunity for these matching funds. The Grants Committee stands ready to assist any of our clubs in preparing matching grant applications. The committee then reviews all applications.
