For 39 years, Rotary has participated in the annual Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, CA. This year's entry focuses on RI's continuing goal of service. Rotarians can participate in many ways.
Eight Rotary districts are combining to bring the Rotary message to parade watchers and TV viewers across the world. Here's how you can take part in this massive project:Donate to the Rose Parade Float Fund

The 5190 District Governor has walked with the float for the past 5 years. We are asking each Club to send $75.00 to our District Treasurer, Cheryl Z, to allow DG Doug to walk the five miles this January 1. The funds go entirely to support the cost of the float, not for the DG's travel or lodging costs.
We have a Rotary Rose Float Committee member in District 5190, Patricia Ellis of the Rotary Club of Bishop, who is available for questions and is willing to present a program if a club is interested. Contact Patricia - patricia@sierracpa.com.
Here are some fun facts about the parade:
- The Rose Parade is viewed live by approximately 700,000 people
- The 2017 parade had over 45 million TV viewers in the US alone . . . and over 28 million more worldwide
- Volunteers will donate more than 6,000 hours in preparing decorations and applying them to our float
- The 2017 parade was broadcast to over 200 countries and territories outside the US
- There are seven major broadcast partners
