Rotary Academy

What is the Rotary Academy?
          Rotary is an incredible organization that began when a lonely attorney made an effort to have more friendship in his life. A successful attorney, Paul Harris knew he was missing something and decided to do something about it. From that humble beginning, Rotary touches lives within each of our communities, and in communities throughout the world, now connecting more than 1,225,800 members and 35,000 clubs internationally.
            The Rotary Academy, in ten easy lessons, gives you the chance to learn about important aspects of this amazing organization:
Lesson 1       The history of Rotary International;
Lesson 2      The organization and structure of Rotary International;
Lesson 3      Club service – membership and classification;
Lesson 4      More club service – administration;
Lesson 5      Vocational service;
Lesson 6      Community service
Lesson 7      International service;
Lesson 8      The Rotary Foundation;
Lesson 9      District Leadership Plan;

That’s all there is to it. This is a self-paced correspondence course – complete each chapter at your own speed, send it to the appropriate instructor and continue on to the next lesson. The Academy course will be helpful to all Rotarians, especially those who are new to Rotary. It will provide a background of information that will enable members to know the intricacies of Rotary International and all it has to offer, locally and internationally.
Additionally, members who aspire to leadership positions in their club or at the District level will find the lessons to be excellent guidelines throughout their Rotary years. All reference material, except The ABCs of Rotary is available on this website, including the registration form.
