Rotarians,
It is that time of year again that we are reaching out to ask for your help in recruiting campers for this year's RYLA program. For those of you who do not know, RYLA is a week-long camp for rising seniors in high school. Throughout this week they will be exposed to a wide range of experiences some of which include speakers to develop public speaking skills, preparing for college applications, and making lifelong friends. I can speak from personal experience and say that my time at RYLA has been some of the most influential times of my life. We would greatly appreciate it if you could spread the word to your local high schools and find students who have the tools to be great leaders in your community. The more campers, the better! Please feel free to reach out to Mike Sigler (Rotary District Chair), Olivia Bubrig (RYLA Director), or head counselors, William Evans and myself if you have any questions or would like any help with communicating with school counselors/interact clubs. IMPORTANT NOTES FOR RYLA 2022
Dates: Starts 3pm Sunday July 10 finishes 11am Friday July 15.
Location: Solomon Conference Center, 54296 Highway 445, Loranger, LA
Tuition: $ 600 per student (New Lower Tuition Thanks To A District Contribution)
Eligibility: Students must be between their Junior and Senior year in high school.
Deadlines: Please tell your students to return the applications to the club officers by late
April and officers, get the applications to the RYLA committee by Mid May.
