          The Amite Rotary Club invites local cooks to submit your most amazing, tasty family recipes for  our very first local cuisine cookbook.  The funds generated from this project will go to support our motto "Service above Self". 
           You may submit your recipes and stories about its origins and place in your family history by email at;  or mail to Amite Rotary Club, P.O. Box 721, Amite, La. 70422 or drop it off at Farm Bureau Insurance, Law Offices of Regina Wedig or Amite Veterinary Services office in Amite.
          Keep your story to 200 words or less so we may fit as many beautiful stories and delicious recipes as we can. 
          The due date to submit your application is July 30th, 2017. Our goal is to have the Cookbooks ready for sale in time for the Tangipahoa Parish Fair this Fall.
          We look forward to receiving your entries.
The Recipe Must Be Original:
Your recipe must be your own original concept and not a copy of anyone else's copyrighted material. (If your image infringes upon another's copyright it will be disqualified.) Upon submitting your recipe, to this competition, you are solely responsible for any infringement on copyrighted materials.
          Entries must include your name, address, email address and phone number.
Non-exclusive Permissions:
          By submitting your recipe and story, you are granting us a non-exclusive perpetual license to reproduce them in our Cookbook and in the marketing of the Cookbook to the general public.
          All entries become the property of Amite Rotary Club and will not be returned. The Amite Rotary Club reserves the right of final selection.

The Rotary Clubs of Slidell and Slidell Northshore jointly operate the Slidell Heritage Festival every 4th of July in Heritage Park in Slidell, LA. The event features name bands, fireworks, art booths, and food.
