Together, we are setting in motion our global effort to help the world better understand who we are: people of action, driven by a desire to strengthen communities, mobilize problem solvers, and find solutions to the tough challenges that affect people around the world.
Starting now, you can visit the Brand Center to download new People of Action templates for social media posts and print ads. You can also download the video public service announcements that debuted at the Atlanta convention, as well as guidelines and tips on using the campaign. Use all of these to tell your own stories about how your club and district are taking action and bringing leaders together to make an impact in your community.
We are very proud of this new campaign and the opportunity it gives us to tell a consistent, compelling story about what makes Rotarians people of action. In the coming months, we’ll add more resources to the Brand Center. We hope that you take advantage of these materials, because they’ll help you to get the full benefit of the campaign by promoting both your club and Rotary in your community. FEBRUARY IS PEACE AND CONFLICT PREVENTION / RESOLUTION MONTH
Conflict and violence displace millions of people each year. 90 percent of those killed in conflicts are civilians and half are children. Through our service projects, peace fellowships, and scholarships, Rotarians are taking action to address the underlying causes of conflict, including poverty, inequality, ethnic tension, lack of access to education, and unequal distribution of resources. We help refugees integrate and find jobs. We help leaders learn how to prevent and mediate conflict. Rotary supports peace-building in communities and regions affected by conflict.

District 9465 Membership and Club Building Grants
The final date for applications for our District 9465 Membership and Club Building Grants program have been extended to 5 February 2018. APPLY NOW.
The inaugural Wear a Rotary Shirt Day will be held on 23 February 2018. The purpose of the day is a no cost marketing activity to create more awareness of Rotary. Each Rotarian is asked to wear a Rotary shirt all day to create conversation and get people to ask What is Rotary?
This is an initiative from our District that is now Australia wide and possibly world wide in the future.
1.2 million trees before Earth Day on 22 April 2018
Our very own RI President Ian Riseley and partner Juliet, have asked all clubs to assist their goal of planting one tree for every Rotarian - 1.2 million before Earth Day on April 22, 2018. See the brochure herefor further details.
