Steve joined the Rotary Club of Bangor, Maine in 1995. His Rotary service began with multiple terms on the Board of Directors, which eventually led to serving as Club President 2007/2008. During his presidency, he provided positive leadership, vision and inspiration, and became a mentor to many Rotarians. He went on to serve District 7790 as an Assistant Governor for Area 9 from 2009 to 2012.

Steve served as a District Governor in 2013/2014. Once Steve’s term as District Governor ended, he continued to serve in many capacities including the Executive Committee and District 7790 Representative for the Rotary Council on Legislation. His service work is highlighted by the ongoing efforts for providing clean water and sanitation to Bilwaskarma, Nicaragua that is in desperate need of assistance. Steve provided leadership, encouragement and his business expertise closer to home where he worked alongside Sarah in assisting with the development of Sarah’s House of Maine, a “home away from home” for people receiving cancer treatments. Steve is a 9-time Paul Harris Fellow, a member of the Paul Harris Society and is also recognized as a Major Donor to the Rotary Foundation.
