All Rotarians and especially our District 5020 members are cordially invited to attend the District's Centennial Dinner Celebration on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Oak Bay Beach Hotel in Victoria, BC. Here are the frequently asked questions about the celebration:
 
Q. What is the purpose of the Centennial Celebration Dinner?
           
 
 
A. In the year of the 100th anniversary of The Rotary Foundation, the purpose is to recognize donors who have made or committed to make a new contribution, from July 1, 2016, to March 15, 2017, of US$10,000 or more to The Rotary Foundation. These donors will be recognized as District 5020 Centennial Donors. Canadian donors who have made or have committed to make a contribution of CDN$10,000 will be recognized as District 5020 Canadian Centennial Donors.
 
Q. When and where will the dinner be held?
A. The Oak Bay Beach Hotel, 1175 Beach Drive, Victoria BC V8S 2N2 on Saturday, March 18th, 2017.
 
Q. Who is the keynote speaker?
A. Rotary International Vice-President Jennifer Jones.
 
Q. How do I get invited?
A. Everyone is invited. Tickets are limited to 120 persons.
 
Q. I am already a Major Donor – do I qualify as a Centennial Donor?
A. No – the purpose is to raise NEW funds either in cash or by bequest. This is your opportunity to move to a higher level by making an additional gift or bequest in this historic year of our Foundation.
 
Q. What is the dress code for the dinner?
A. Dress is black tie optional and please celebrate our Foundation by wearing your Paul Harris regalia!
 
Q. What are the ways I can give?
A. You can contribute cash, appreciated stock, make a pledge to give $10,000 or more over a 3 year period or create a Life Income Agreement (USA). We have the expertise of Major Gift Officer Elizabeth Cruft-Anderson and Endowment/Major Gift Adviser Richard Clarke who we are happy to connect you with for further information.
