From the Governor's Desk - Polio Plunge Thanks

I would like to personally thank those members and friends of District 7190 who took time away from their personal New Year's Day Celebrations to attend or participate in one of the many Bowling parties or the Polio Plunge on Jan 1 this year.

While figures are not completely in, it looks like you really wanted to "Tell The Governor To Jump In The Lake".  At last count, between pledges and money collected, we are hoping to top $ 20,000. raised for our "Polio Plunge and Bowl over Polio" event.  Watch the February Toolbox for final figures and pictures.

As you know, when that money gets in, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will be matching $2 for every $1. making our impact so much more (They will add $40,000 making a $60,000 total when we reach the $20,000 figure).

PDG Anne Cargile and her team did an outstanding job on this one and they deserve our District's gratitude.

It was fun and DGE Dave is planning something for next year so keep tuned and plan now to join us on January 1, 2015
