YOUNG ROTARY LEADERSHIP
The District 5450 Leadership Team for 2019-2020 included Rachel Nguyen, Abby Simonton, Elijah Dimon-Ainscough, Josh Holman and Lauren Fox. We congratulate Rachel Nguyen and Abby Simonton on their high school graduation and wish them well as they continue their studies! They have done a great job being a part of this first-ever leadership team for Young Rotary. Best wishes!
New members to the Leadership Team will join this group for 2020-21. Young Rotarians signed up with an interest to be on the Leadership Team. Their Interact Advisors have been contacted and this spring individuals will be asked to join.
A new leadership opportunity for our Young Rotarians was introduced at the District fall conference. Over 33 Young Rotarians showed interest in being ‘Champions’ for Young Rotary and Interact Clubs. This level of leadership is open to all. To be a Champion, individuals need to commit to attending their club meetings, be a leader in their service clubs, seek ways to bring on new members, and communicate to the District Leadership Team. Champions for Young Rotary is an opportunity that you will hear more about as we begin the 2020-21 year. Stay tuned!
The District 5450 Leadership Team launched an Instagram Page: Young Rotary In Touch (YRIT). This will provide an opportunity for all of our Young Rotary/Interact Clubs to post their service ideas, selfies, and challenges. Congratulations to all that participated in the first challenge by our Leadership Team. A new challenge, #30days30miles, was launched by Legend HS Young Rotary Club and is on now! You can participate. It’s for everyone. This flyer gives the details of the #Fitness Challenge which runs through May 30!
