THE ROTARY FOUNDATION SPECIAL 2022 UPDATE

The annual fall season is so unique to us in Rotary. With World Polio Day in October and with November as The ROTARY FOUNDATION month, it is a time to celebrate all we have achieved in the past year in our global projects and how those are funded by The Rotary Foundation’s philanthropic efforts via Rotarian’s contributions including those in District 5450. I thank you all for your focus on giving, your gifts to The Rotary Foundation, and your outstanding service in Rotary this past year.

For more information on how Qualified Charitable Distributions, also known as IRA “charitable rollover gifts,” and other tax-advantaged ways to give can further your philanthropic and financial goals, please contact your Planned Giving Officer: Planned.Giving@Rotary.org (847) 866-3100

Your gift to the Annual Fund makes a tremendous impact no matter the scale of the donation. $10 will purchase a mosquito net to help combat malaria in Africa, $25 gives school classroom resources opening the doors to education for women and children that never have had those opportunities before, and a $100 donation will help collect textile materials to teach entrepreneurial skills for micro businesses for residents.

Our Foundation is dedicated to causes — or areas of focus — that build international relationships, improve lives, and promote a more peaceful world. Which of these causes or Areas of Focus resonates with you? What are you passionate about?

The Foundation can help you turn your passion for a cause into action and lasting change. Rotarians are encouraged to lead efforts in these areas, and The Rotary Foundation is here to support those efforts with grants.

The very mission of our Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving people’s health, supporting education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty.
