What is your club doing to recognize World Polio Day, Wed. October 24, 2018??  Or the week of October 22nd??

Start planning now!!

The 6th annual World Polio Day will be celebrated in Philadelphia, PA streaming live from the College of Physicians and bringing together more than 100,000 viewers around the world.  Will you join them?  Multiple suggestions for creating events of your own or joining others are listed at www.endpolio.org
Rotarians and others are encouraged to wear purple on this day to symbolize the “purple pinky” that is painted on each child who has been given the vaccine to identify those who have been recently immunized.  T-shirts have also been printed—see above.

The District 5450 Polio Committee also can help by providing speakers about polio to your club, recommending videos you can show and other informational materials, and suggesting fund raising ideas.  When you access the full district website, you can just click on the red “End Polio Now” logo there and you will be immediately connected to the Polio Committee information.
