AUGUST 2019
ROTARY DISTRICT 5450

August 1, 2019

Join Rotary District 5450 Governor Curt Harris for a once in a lifetime experience climbing Grays Peak with two experienced climbers, Eric Weihenmayer and Pem Dorjee Sherpa. Eric is the first blind man to ever make it to the summit of Mount Everest.  Pem is the first man to be married on the summit.

The hike is an exclusive event on August 1st with only 14 climbers. We are asking climbers who would like to share in this experience to donate to Eric’s No Barriers foundation. For more details or to register for the climb, please contact Laurie Romberg at laurieromberg@comcast.net. Plan for a wonderful day of inspiration, climbing, and fellowship.

At daybreak (6 AM) these men will share a climb on August 1st (or 2nd depending on weather) up Grays Peak near Georgetown. After the climb there will be a reception at Tommy Knockers Brewery in Idaho Springs.

District Governor Curt Harris wants to increase  awareness of Eric’s foundation and raise money for its mission; to unleash the potential of the human spirit through transformative experiences. Eric works primarily with youth and veterans to help them face their challenges.
