The Guatemala Literacy Project is one of the largest grassroots, multi-club, multi-District projects in all of Rotary. Over 600 clubs in 80 Districts raised $600,000 this year - much in part to The Rotary Foundation Annual Fund DDF and Global Grants program. When you, or your club, gives to the Annual Fund, a percentage of the money comes back to the District 3 years later, enabling the funding of both global and community grants. Give Now to help others!

While all 50 states require vaccinations to attend school, 17 states including Colorado allow parents to opt out for personal reasons. Measles which was all but eradicated in 2000 is now returning in outbreaks in Washington, Oregon, and New York.
The attached reportshows Annual Fund and Polio Plus goals entered by each club into Rotary Club Central, and the numbers and per capita achieved by each club. The District 5450 goal is to have an increase in Membership, and for Every Rotarian to give something Every Year (EREY).

Castle Rock High Noon and South Jeffco Rotary Clubs delivered 200 dictionaries to Navajo Nation 3rd Graders at Chinle (Arizona) Elementary, Canyon de Chelly Elementary and Tsaile Elementary schools. Sam Reiser from the South Jeffco (CO) Rotary Club said, “The gratitude expressed by the teachers and librarians when we gave them dictionaries for their classrooms, and the enthusiastic exploration through the pages of a new book the students could call their own was priceless. We went to Chinle in a truck loaded with 200 books. We came home in a truck with less weight, but filled much fuller with love and appreciation.” Read more...

It allows donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from the fund over time.
