The District's newest Rotary Club!
District 5450 is excited to announce that Denver Metro South celebrated their charter night at PDG Mike Klingbiel's home on September 21. The club inducted 24 new members, and will be meeting Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm.
DG Ray Anderson inducted Amy Richardson as the charter club president. 
WASH SYMPOSIUM, Saturday, Oct. 16 - The 11th Annual 2021 WASH Symposium presented by the District 5450 WASH Local Action Group will be held at the Posner Center in Denver and via Zoom. The symposium mission is to educate, share knowledge and skills, interact with others passionate about WASH, provide resources, and illustrate how WASH strengthens all of Rotary’s 7 Areas of Focus. YOUNG ROTARY CONFERENCE: Registration is now OPEN for the 2021 District 5450 Young Rotary Conference on Saturday, October 30. It will be held at Cherry Creek High School from 8:30 am -1:00 pm and will include a student panel, speakers, hands-on break out activities, award presentations, and more! We will also be hosting an Advisor Appreciation Brunch on site to show our gratitude to the adult advisors that take the time to help lead these future leaders! MELLY KINNARD MENTAL HEALTH FUND: Melly Kinnard from the Rotary club of Denver generously donated $5,000 to encourage and support District 5450 club mental health projects.  Rotarians for Mental Health will administer distribution of these funds to clubs, up to $1,000 per club. ROCKY MOUNTAIN YOUTH EXCHANGE will be accepting applications for the 2022-2023 youth Exchange year. All interested candidates will need to be interviewed by local clubs and recommended to the District Committee by December 1. There will be an outbound informational zoom session on Tuesday December 7 that all applicants will be required to attend. Please visit the Youth Exchange website at for additional information.

Past District Governor Bob Kemp surprised eClub One's past president Peter Zwicky in Zurich, Switzerland on Sept. 28 to personally present the 2020-2021 Four Way Test Award for Peter's outstanding exemplification of the principles of the 4 Way Test. Current co-presidents Barbara Sulser and Peter Wild helped to arrange the surprise dinner. PDG Bob was in France on a motorcycle tour, and was able to travel to Zurich.

BTS’ JIMIN DONATES 100 MILLION KOREAN WON TO ERADICATE POLIOSEOUL, South Korea: Sept. 23, 2021 – Jimin, a member of K-pop boy band BTS, is supporting the eradication of polio, a devastating vaccine-preventable disease that once paralyzed 1,000 children every single day. OCTOBER IS ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MONTH and we have much to celebrate with recent 5450 global and district grants helping in this work that are a direct result of 5450 Rotarians giving to The Rotary Foundation Annual Fund. Congratulations to the clubs and grants for sustainable Rotary projects in the world!
We continually seek as Rotarians those projects that meet our Rotary Areas of Focus of Promoting Peace, Fighting Disease, Providing Clean Water and Sanitation, Maternal and Child Health, Basic Educations and Literacy, and Growing Local Economies.
