INDEPENDENCE DAY REFLECTIONS - Things are finishing strong in District 5450 and starting anew as well while we get ready to celebrate Independence Day in the United States of America this week as #PeopleofAction. What a great time for reflection in what independence means to each of us. Read More...

GRANTS MANAGEMENT UPDATE - Thank you District 5450 Rotarians for attendance this past month at our annual club qualification training. As a reminder to continue to send in your memorandums of understanding documentation and your final 990 submittals as you can this month. Up to date lists for clubs that are qualified can always be found on the district website.
 
We have a great grants review team with many new faces for 2020-2021, so reach out and say hello when you can. Our team is ready to help and guide your project success!

PEACE FELLOWS AND SCHOLARS UPDATE  - We interviewed three World Peace Applicants and the committee is recommending all three to Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation. As a reminder, Rotarians, your Rotary Foundation giving directly impacts our Peace Fellowships from our District and meets our foundation mission.  To learn more about Peace Center #7, check out https://www.rotary.org/en/rotary-establishes-peace-center-makerere-university

DISTRICT 5450 REMAINS DEDICATED TO ERADICATING POLIO - District 5450 is the #2 District in all of Zone 26 for our contributions to Polio Plus...not only in total contributions but in contributions per capita. District 5450 deserves kudos for demonstrating our dedication to Polio Plus and The Rotary Foundation. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is STILL funding polio eradication efforts and their commitment is steadfast on top of their other current pandemic efforts and focus.
