CLUB CONNECTIONS

The Denver Cherry Creek Rotary Club resumes Dental Mission Trips and needs Dentists. The Cherry Creek Rotary Dental Team is returning to Honduras October 14 2022 and is looking for dentists in the district to join us.  With the assistance of the Roatan Rotary Club we will be treating the residents of St. Helene, who will be brought by boat to our clinic in Roatan.  St. Helene is a remote island which thanks to the Evergreen Rotary Club and a WASH grant now has safe drinking water.  Please contact Sarah Werner at sjwern@gmail.com for details.

Longmont Twin Peaks partnered with Wild Plum Center to create learning toolkits for children. The volunteers made two different toolkits; 120 toolkits for children in preschool and 84 for infants and toddlers. The toolkits include a variety of items that help kids continue their education outside the classroom over the summer. Click here to read more.

Denver Rotary led and championed grants which funded Novi Put's initial development and implementation of a six-year-long project to prevent human trafficking by educating girls. The Thomson Reuters Foundation April 26, 2022, named Novi Put as this year's winner of its Stop Slavery Hero award for its grass roots impact. Thomson Reuters is the charitable foundation of the worldwide news organization Reuters. Click here to read more.

Post your story on your club's website or Facebook page, and then send the link to office@rotary5450.org. Doing so will give your club more exposure - readers will see the story on your club's site, which will let them know more about your club and members.

TRANSITIONING TO A HAPPY NEW ROTARY YEAR!

CELEBRATE, CELEBRATE – DANCE TO THE MUSIC: Good for the soul but reflect on the club and your actions of hard work and gratitude for all you have given to the Rotary Foundation, in your community, and around the world in your service projects. This is something all members can take pride in during the most interesting year in The Rotary Foundation’s 105-year history.

HONOR WITH GRATITUDE: Congratulating club members who stand out among us is still important. Hard work in service and generous giving should be celebrated. Spending time during a club meeting talking about members’ contributions can be both aspirational and inspirational.

FUTURE FOCUSED: Let’s all get jazzed about new service opportunities, giving what we can and opportunities to work together for a brighter future. Hope is needed in these challenging times and Rotarians through action. Lead by example.

JUNE IS FELLOWSHIPS MONTH: Sharing fellowship is a great way to stay connected, learn something new and help even your fellow Rotarians. Virtually and voice communication helps us all feel like we are among friends and share #coloradorotarycares.  Rotary offers remarkable opportunities globally as well in its Fellowships. Visit www.rotary.org/fellowships for additional resources on Rotary Fellowships.

UKRAINIAN CLUBS HELP OTHERS IN NEED IN THEIR COUNTRY: Rotary members in Ukraine are helping neighbors return to their homes, distributing supplies from other countries, and organizing long-term aid — all despite being affected by the war themselves. Click Here to Read More...
