These are just snippets of reactions from the group who recently returned from our district’s April 2014 service trip to Honduras, involving eight Rotarians, four spouses and three teenage daughters from Rotary.
During the trip, the group spent three days visiting communities that will be a part of our district’s $800K water and sanitation project. In one village, Horcones, an older woman named Mangelina Lopez said through an interpreter: “I have been praying somehow our community could get water and our children would stop being sick. You have been sent by God as an answer to my prayers.” The interpreter was so choked up she had trouble speaking.
When we Engage Rotary and Change Lives, we also impact our own lives in amazing ways.
