The Rotary Club of St. Cloud recently wrapped up a remarkably successful fundraising campaign. With a bold goal of raising $100k in honor of their club’s 100th anniversary, they not only met and exceeded expectations but also had 100% participation by all club members. Understanding the 'Why' Club leadership reached out to all 121 members and asked each member: Why are we Rotary members? By having members reflect on their personal reasons for being part of Rotary, it connected and compelled members to have a reason to give to Rotary. The Rotary Club of St. Cloud has seen firsthand the impact of their contributions, particularly with international service projects. For example, the club raised about $350k in grants for past water projects in the Dominican Republic, and with a RI grant, they more than tripled their funding for the project. The Rotary Club of St. Cloud also has supported many local projects, including starting a youth resource center to address community youth homelessness, and pre-school programs that have provided about 220 children with access to early education they otherwise wouldn’t have had. |
