A Valentine's gift to our district Rotarians - you can now have your own personalized Minnesota Rotary license plate! Thanks to the hard work of RI Director and Past District Governor Tom Gump (pictured below) and district Rotarians, we can now display our Rotary pride on our cars!

Operation launch sub clubs is underway! This is the fastest way to innovate and grow your clubs. We have 19 clubs meeting every two weeks to help design, craft and launch their clubs. Don't be left behind. Emails for interest went out to your Presidents the last few weeks. If you have an idea for your club, please let your President know and we shall include you! An example of a sub club is the Minneapolis Uptown Sub Club that meets at restaurants.

Rotary Club of St. Cloud Reached 100% Participation & Raised Over $100K

The Rotary Club of St. Cloud recently wrapped up a remarkably successful fundraising campaign. With a bold goal of raising $100k in honor of their club’s 100th anniversary, they not only met and exceeded expectations but also had 100% participation by all club members.

Understanding the 'Why'

Club leadership reached out to all 121 members and asked each member: Why are we Rotary members? By having members reflect on their personal reasons for being part of Rotary, it connected and compelled members to have a reason to give to Rotary.

The Rotary Club of St. Cloud has seen firsthand the impact of their contributions, particularly with international service projects. For example, the club raised about $350k in grants for past water projects in the Dominican Republic, and with a RI grant, they more than tripled their funding for the project. The Rotary Club of St. Cloud also has supported many local projects, including starting a youth resource center to address community youth homelessness, and pre-school programs that have provided about 220 children with access to early education they otherwise wouldn’t have had.

Rotaract is blazing in our District this year!

We have a new Rotaract club this year - Rotaract Club Northwestern Health Sciences University. It is starting with 24 new members and we are so excited to have them! They have been sponsored and guided by the Bloomington Noon Rotary Club under the brilliant leadership of Assistant Governor Debbie Belfry.

One of our most active Rotaract Clubs is the Dakota Community Technical College (DCTC) under the leadership of student advisor Brett Kolles. Brett with the support of the membership team PDG Lloyd Campbell and Membership chair Kim Krohn created an event to invite many local colleges to encourage them to start Rotaract Clubs. This was a lively and successful event.

The District sends a giant thank you to Brett for his energy and leadership in expanding Rotary – we are so thankful!
