A message from your Rotary District 5950 District Governor, Sharon Bloodworth:
Although being born British, I love Thanksgiving!! My husband cooks the best Thanksgiving dinner in the land. The recipes are secret, as he says it ensures I keep him around!
As I take time to reflect on this year, I am so incredibly grateful for every Rotarian in District 5950. It has truly been a life highlight visiting all of the clubs. You have welcomed me with gusto and the impact you have on your communities is incredible. I can see it from the moment I drive into your towns. It is so fun to see Rotary signs plastered everywhere. That is the visible presence of Rotary. The magic/invisible presence is so much greater.
I wonder over our 100+ years of Rotary in Minnesota how many thank you’s have been uttered to our Rotarians. I wonder how many smiles you have evoked. I wonder how many people’s futures you have impacted. I wonder how many people you have sheltered from the elements. Each time you help another, they are better able to help someone else and then that person can help someone else. The circle of good that happens from an individual action is truly infinite. May all our Rotarians and clubs go to infinity and beyond this year.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being an amazing Rotarian. You are so loved and needed and appreciated!!! I am very proud to be your District Governor. Happy Thanksgiving!!
