District 5950 is excited to announce a series of Club Experience Workshops. These interactive workshops are designed to reveal the key to member satisfaction and building a thriving club culture through facilitated discussions, presentations of best practices, and application to real life situations and Clubs. 

Dear Member,

Are you ready to strengthen your club? Rotary research has shown that the number one driver of member satisfaction is the club experience. When members feel engaged, supported, and connected, they find greater enjoyment in meetings, confidence in their leadership, fulfillment in service, and lasting friendships within the club.

At the upcoming Club Experience Workshops, we’ll explore five key pillars that shape a vibrant and fulfilling club experience: creating enjoyable and inclusive meetings, fostering trust in leadership, unlocking personal growth opportunities, building meaningful connections, and delivering impactful service.

What makes these workshops especially exciting is that each one is set in a unique location within our Rotary District. Every setting offers its own character and opens the door to exploring different communities. By participating, you’ll not only gain practical strategies to enhance member engagement but also experience the richness and diversity of our District firsthand.

Through group activities, real club scenarios, and open dialogue, you’ll discover how to cultivate a thriving club culture that lasts.

OPTION ONE: Lake Street Workshop

DATE: February 5, 2026
LOCATION: The Hook and Ladder 3010 Minnehaha Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55406
WORKSHOP TIME: 6:15pm – 8:45pm
HAPPY HOUR: 5:00pm – 6:15pm (Bar Open at Hook & Ladder Prior and During the Workshop)

DINNER: Select a dinner reservation at one of the local restaurants within a 10-minute drive of Hook and Ladder. Each restaurant will have a reservation for a small group of Rotarians (6–8 people) before the event, with all reservations set for 4:30 PM. Each participant is responsible for their own dinner expenses and transportation; however, we’ll organize the groups to encourage carpooling. This is a great opportunity to experience the unique, locally owned restaurants of Lake Street while connecting with fellow Rotarians. Simply sign up and tell us where you want to eat —we’ll handle the group coordination for you.

If you’re not able to make a restaurant prior to the workshop, The Hook & Ladder has an onsite Food Truck with great tacos!  It will be open during the happy hour portion and workshop.

 
OPTION TWO: Monticello Workshop

DATE: February 14, 2026
LOCATION: Best Western - 89 Chelsea Road, Monticello
TIME: 8:30am  – 11:00am
LUNCH: 11:15am – 12:30pm - Families Welcome - Chinese Food Buffet ($10.00 per person)

Make it a Rotary Weekend and bring the whole family! The Monticello Rotary Club is excited to host their family-friendly Rhythm and Brew Battle of the Bands on Friday evening, February 13th. Enjoy a fun night as Peterson Creek and Humboldt Station face off with hits from the '60s and '80s. Your ticket includes dinner, a voting ballot, and complimentary soda (Full Info here). After the event, relax and unwind at the Best Western Chelsea Drive—our Club Experience Workshop location—where you can take advantage of a special Rotary Rate. Enjoy the hot tub before starting Saturday’s workshop refreshed. Following the workshop, families and friends are invited to join us for a delicious Chinese lunch buffet. Remember to book your Rhythm & Brews tickets and hotel separately.

OPTION THREE: Virtual & Hybrid Clubs Workshop

LOCATION: Via Zoom 
TIME: 5:30pm – 7:30pm CST

Are you an online Club or hosting your meetings hybrid - don’t miss our Virtual & Hybrid Workshop option on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM CST via Zoom. This workshop will focus on successful and best practices for using online platforms for hosting meetings and beyond the meeting communication.

OPTION FOUR: Hutchinson Workshop
DATE: February 27, 2026
LOCATION: Crow River Winery
TIME: 5:00pm – 8:30pm
HAPPY HOUR: 5:00pm – 6:00pm
DINNER: Served at 6:00pm  

Join us at the Crow River Winery in Hutchinson for our upcoming event in the beautiful Fireside Room. Crow River Winery, a renowned farm winery and event center located along Highway 7—just 45 minutes west of Lake Minnetonka—has been nurturing Minnesota Cold Climate grapes in five vineyards since 2004. Enjoy our exceptional ciders, crafted from the finest apples handpicked from our own orchard. Dinner will be served as part of the workshop for a cost of $10.00. This workshop offers Rotarians from various clubs the opportunity to connect, share diverse ideas, and engage in meaningful discussions. Come experience the warm atmosphere, wonderful drinks, and the spirit of camaraderie—don’t miss out!
