The 2023-24 District Conference was held at the MN Landscape Arboretum in Chanhassen on Saturday October 14 and included environmental speakers and eco-friendly bags. Steve Solbrack with the Eco Club is a wonderful resource for all things environmental –steve@solbrack.com
The Twin Cities Rotary Eco Club is also planning a collaboration with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity (TCHFH) to install solar panels on two homes in North Minneapolis in May 2024. They are fundraising to raise $8K to leverage a $10K district grant for an $18K project. If your club is interested in pledging $500 or more or would like someone to talk to your club or to your Rotary Foundation committee about the project let Steve know. Clubs already partnering include Rotary Eco Club - $1,100, Maple Grove - $500, Eden Prairie AM - $1000.
