For virtual clubs like Global Travelers, it takes some creativity to help members engage in hands-on service that is not connected to a longer trip or group effort. “Talking Trash” is the result of thinking how to motivate members to serve individually but with a common purpose.
A month-long challenge to clean up the environment wherever members are living or traveling to is the result and will begin Oct, 24 –after a club speaker on reducing plastic waste. Members will pick up trash and post photos. An anonymous club member will donate $10 to the club’s service account for every bag collected.
