The annual Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) took place at the YMCA Camp St. Croix in Hudson April 19-23. 61 high school students, 8 junior counselors, 10 adult counselors and 3 additional staff participated in the weekend events. DG Jewelie was asked to be a celebrity judge for the RYLA High presentations, a group exercise in which teams of students were judged on their short and long term plans to save a high school suffering from low enrollment and high costs. The RED group came in first, and is pictured here.
RYLA is a joint District 5950-5960 effort, and the group is always looking for more volunteers. Please let Jewelie or Alexa know if you are interested in volunteering for RYLA!
