Inspiration, Celebration and Leadership!
When the calendar year turns the Rotary year is half over. Come to be inspired for Rotary 2nd half! Celebrate the midpoint and learn what opportunities still await you! And get a glimpse into the newest leadership model …
Plenary #1: Become aware how mindfulness changes your experience
Rotary Showcase: Exchange ideas and projects with Rotarians
President Elect Meeting: Get a jump on your PETS experience (President 2016-2017)
Assistant Governor Meeting: Get up to speed with AG colleagues
Plenary #2: Leadership: Embodying Rotary at Work and in Life
Much of the current body of leadership work is grounded in mindful, conscious leadership. Prominent leaders in firms such as JP Morgan, General Mills and McKinsey are advocates for the value and benefits of mindfulness. We are fortunate that an expert, Dr. Bill Brendel, will join us to share his mindful leadership expertise.
Dr. Brendel, Assistant Professor of Organizational Learning & Development and Co-Director of the Project for Mindfulness and Contemplation at the University of St Thomas will be with us to inspire us to experience our Rotary Showcase from a “mindful” perspective. After which we can apply our learning with Dr. Brendel’s guidance as we explore and experience mindful Rotary leadership. You will leave inspired, and equipped with tools to put mindfulness to work as we move into the second half of our Rotary year.
A time to meet to re-energize for the rest of the Rotary year, network with fellow Rotarians and learn about activities around the district. All Rotarians are welcome to attend; club presidents, president elects, board members and committee chairs as well as Assistant Governors and District leaders are strongly encouraged to attend.
Each club can send up to 10 members FREE as part of their district training fee. Continental Breakfast & Lunch included,
Deadline to register has been extended to Tuesday, January 5, 2015.
