G’day,

I am looking forward to welcoming Rotarians to the red centre of Australia in September 2020 for the Zone 8 Rotary Conference. Alice Springs is an incredible place to visit, if you have not been to Alice Springs make sure you don’t miss this opportunity to experience the red centre of Australia.

The Organising Committee have spent many hours already in making sure that the conference will be one that you won’t forget, it will be inspirational, challenging, informative all with plenty of fun. It will be an opportunity to meet up with old friends and to make new friends.

Indigenous music group the Bowden Brothers will be performing for us and will also be putting on a free show for the local indigenous people in Alice Springs. Saturday night will be a very special night, we will be having one large dinner out on Ooraminna Station. Everyone will be transported out to the station by road coaches, it promises to be a very special night.

The then Rotary International President Holger Knaack and his wife Susanne will be joining us along with Past President Barry Rassin and his wife Esther. Barry will be attending as the Trustee for the Rotary Foundation. Of course with the Purple House being based in Alice Springs we will be having the irrepressible Sarah Brown speaking, she will have the Purple Truck at the Convention Centre. We will be announcing other keynote speakers over the next few months.

Rotarians in Alice Springs are looking forward to welcoming you to Alice Springs. The experience of Alice Springs will stay with you long after you leave.
Please accept this as a personal invitation, fly, drive or come by train just Spring into Alice this coming September you will not be disappointed!!

Regards
Noel Trevaskis
