Activity:
We will be cleaning a stretch of trails. Volunteers are asked to arrive no later than 2 PM and we should be completed by 4 PM
This is part of the 26.2 mile Panther Trail - all within the City - that we are hoping to open in October. This section is along the Sudbury Reservoir owned by the State DCR.
Park:
On Helen Drive
Meet:
At the corner of Helen and Farm Rd. The trail is across the street over the guardrail.
Bring:
Tool list should include: Loppers, clippers, leaf rakes, stone rakes.
Specialty tools if anyone wants to bring which can be helpful: weed whackers (just one for a large section of ferns) and if anyone has a McCloud tool (rake & hoe tool) they work great.
Also good to wear:
Work gloves, long pants, long sleeves, closed toed shoes, mask (optional), snack(optional) and bug spray, sunscreen, hat.
Also: bring water.
Note: there is no access to a bathroom. No access to a porta-potty. There is an ice cream place, Trobetta’s, ~¼ mile away for bathroom needs.
