Carlstadt/East Rutherford Rotary Club
"You are the Key" was the Rotary International theme for the year by President Ed Cadman from the State of Washington, USA. The International convention was held at Las Vegas, Nevada, which proved to be an interesting location with many sideline activities. The District had the honor of having a member of our District serving on the Board of Rotary International. This offered our District the further honor of serving as the host District for the Rotary Institute for Past Governors in the fall at Teaneck, N. J.
Governor Bob had as his key staff members, Bob Kleinberg as his Secretary, John Reynolds as his Treasurer, and Bill Gates as his Chief Rep.
District activities included the annual Football Game at West Point, the New Jersey Vocational Assembly held at the Birchwood Manor, the President's Ball also held at the Birchwood Manor, and the highlight of the year which was the District Conference held at picturesque Williamsburg, Virginia.
The District held an active youth activities program during the year and continued the support of the Rotary Foundation and the Walter Head Foundation
