ATTENTION ALL CLUB PRESIDENTS-ELECT

MID-NORTHEAST MULTI-DISTRICT PETS ("PETS") 2016

There are seven districts participating in the upcoming Presidents-Elect Training Seminar from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with Rotary District 7255 being the largest of the districts.  PETS prepares Presidents-elect for their year as the President of their club starting in July, the new Rotary year.  The District Governor Elect, as PETS executive, and the planning board work diligently throughout the year to put together a program that will give you the content that you will need as President and we get the best Rotary speakers for our plenary sessions.  The course outline is as follows:

Plan Your Year - Club Management - Your Leadership - Your Members - Promote Rotary - Foundation

On Thursday March 17th we will have a special optional session with Chris Boyce and Emily Whitmer both from Rotary International Headquarters to do a special presentation on the The Rotary Foundation and Membership.  The session will be from 2pm to 5pm.  All are encouraged to attend this session.

The formal program will start on March 18th and the following day you ll have an opportunity to meet with your incoming District Governor.

PETS provides the opportunity to network, learn more about Rotary, and participate with hundreds of Presidents-elects in attendance.

The venue is the Hanover Marriott, Whippany, New Jersey. This training is MANDATORY per Rotary International's Manual of Procedure and you must attend in order to be certified by DGE MJ Fitzgerald as ready to be president of your club (even if you've been here before!). The cost to incoming presidents is free, as this event is covered by your district dues.

PRESIDENTS & OFFICERS TRAINING SEMINAR ("POTS")

DGE MJ FITZGERALD will also be presenting a training seminar on Saturday, March 5, 2016, to give attendees the "local flavor" of Rotary in District 7255. This training is optional, but certainly encouraged for incoming club officers. The program will run from Noon - 5:00 pm, at the Melville Hilton Garden Inn, which is located on Round Swamp Road in Plainview (just south of LIE Exit 48). Like PETS, the cost for this event is covered by your district dues. This seminar is open to all club members, but it it necessary to register by letting the District Trainer know in advance that you intend to be there. Send an email to DavidArdam@msn.com to register.
